Scenically located in the authentic Hundested Harbour, framed by the atmospheric "Kajgade," Brasserie Kyst opens its doors to a cultural oasis by the water. As a respectable big sister to Restaurant Molen, we share the same ownership and commitment to delivering a delightful gastronomic experience.
Our concept combines the best of Danish, French, and Spanish culinary cultures. We celebrate the art of sharing food and tapas, which you can enjoy together from the front row.
With great hospitality, we stretch ourselves widely to meet every need when you step inside. Our spacious premises and changing outdoor areas, from sunny terraces to charming indoor environments, create the setting for lovely moments.

From Hundested Harbour, you are close to everything from cultural and city life with eateries, galleries, glass blowing, museum, sand sculpture festival, and freshly caught fish from the fishing boats to beautiful nature with dunes, beach meadows, bathing beaches, Ullerup Forest, and green fields.
Hundested City
Hundested is a port town in North Zealand with 8,660 inhabitants, located on the Halsnæs Peninsula in Torup Parish. The town belongs to Halsnæs Municipality and is located in the Capital Region.
Originally, Hundested was a very large reef stretching from Spodsbjerg, Halsnæs, far out into the sea in a northwesterly direction. Here, a very large number of seals (dogs) lived and bred. Hundested is believed to stem from the reef, which was the home of the seal-dog, hence "Hunde-sted." Today, the seals have moved to Hesselø.
In the early 19th century, the gillnet fishermen from Lynæs began landing their ships on the beach off the reef. During the 1830s, many of the fishermen built residential houses on the site. As the ships grew larger, the harbor had to be expanded. Originally, the harbor consisted of some wattle fences that extended into the water.
Over time, Hundested Harbour has developed into a modern traffic harbor with a fishing port, ferry port, cargo port, container port, and marina - and managed to maintain its authentic raw atmosphere.
